nCoV risk assessment

Novel coronavirus outbreak is s serious public health threat. It is still unclear how the situation unfolds in many countries. In China, where the disease outbreak is reported, many people are severely sick, and disease is sustaining because of transmission from person to person.

The risk to individuals depends on the exposure. The risk of the outbreaks depends on the type of the virus too. In this case novel coronavirus is a new strain, the complete clinical picture regarding the nCoV is still not clear. Research and clinical trial are still under way to find a proper cure (like vaccination or medication). Many healthcare workers who are caring the patients with nCoV are at risk of getting infected. According to CDC, more cases are likely to identified in upcoming days and it could be due to person to person contact. To prevent the disease- proper precaution, avoiding contact with sick person, and avoiding unnecessary travel to outbreak areas are highly recommended.
