Ginger water for sore throat

Ginger salt water gargle

Ginger is anti – inflammatory herb and reduces body pain. When mixed with salt it gives another benefit – it reduces sore throat symptoms.

What you need?

  • Ginger root – 3 inches
  • Salt- 1 tsp
  • Honey – 1 tsp (optional)

To prepare:

  • To boiling water ( 2 cups) add grated ginger root. Add salt and let the water simmer for few more minutes. Turn of the heat and add honey. Mix well.

To use:

  • Use slightly warm ginger salt liquid every 3 hours, till you feel symptom is reducing. With this treatment, flu and cold symptoms will come down too.
