Short Breaks During the Workday Boost Focus and Prevent Burnout
Hours of nonstop work drain mental energy and chip away at concentration. In addition, sitting continuously in one place will have negative impact on your body. Too much sitting will burden your hips and legs. Workday breaks such as a simple five minute break every hour to stretch, walk, or rest your eyes can reset your focus and boost overall productivity.
Even a brief pause away from your desk lowers stress hormones. Use that time to breathe deeply, hydrate, or take a short walk, rather than reaching for your phone.
