The two powerful spices are also powerhouse for health. Both belongs to same plant families -ginger and turmeric are considered as power spices because of their culinary and medicinal properties.
Both are good for – reducing body inflammation, known to control cancer cells, good for cough and cold, good for asthma patients, good source of fibers, good for arthritis and ulcerative colitis. Turmeric and ginger are used to treat different forms of stomach and digestion-related issues. Ginger has been shown to be effective at reducing symptoms of nausea and vomiting related to chemotherapy. Turmeric has curcumin which is responsible for all good characters of the root. It is good for skin, wounds, rashes, allergy and kids friendly. Ginger has properties -relieving digestive problems such as nausea, loss of appetite, motion sickness and pain. Both types of roots are good source of fiber and reduces fat in the body.
