Ways to Consume Rue
Culinary application of rue is not much or decreased over time in the history. It is not as popular as other herbs when it comes to kitchen. Adding rue leaves in salad, wine, sauce for flavoring are few culinary applications. To improve eyesight Italians used to include leaves in salad. In India people pick leaves and eat to reduce body ache and spasms.
In herbal and alternate medicines, Rue is used in the following forms:
In Natural Forms – leaves, flowers and tender stems are used in natural forms itself.
· Raw: Crushed fresh leaves and young stems are used as skin antiseptic and a natural insect repellent.
· Infusion: Fresh and dried leaves can be made into tea by steeping the leaves. It reduces digestive problems. Same tea can be used for relieving menstrual cramps.
· Poultice: Crushed fresh leaves is used as poultice and applied directly to reduce rheumatic pain.
