Rue Is Used In Alternate Medicines And Culinary

Rue is a common ingredient of Ayurveda, Homeopathy and as an herbal ingredient in many international cuisines. In Ayurveda is it an ingredient to treat both common and not so common ailments. In homeopathy mainly used as poultice for treating injuries, pulmonary conditions.

Traditional home remedies are- quick remedy for insect bites, menstrual cramps, skin rashes, hysteria, hypertension, earaches, headaches and remedy for infants skin problems.

In Mediterranean traditional medicine, Rue used for tuberculosis, to reduce swelling of the spleen, as well as externally to treat wounds. In ancient Greece and Egypt Rue extract is used for strengthening eyesight.

In modern medicines, Rue is not much used because of its toxic nature. Some people get rashes, redness, and dizziness.
