Clove oil in carrier oil

Clove oil is used for different conditions. One popular use of clove oil is for tooth ache. It has antibacterial property and hence it gives relief to toothache. The spicy nature of clove is due to eugenol, eugenol acetate and β-caryophyllene. These and other active compounds in clove oil known to have anesthetic (causing numbness ), antiseptic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and rubefacient (warming, soothing and colling) effect.

 

Ingredients:

1.       Clove essential oil – few drops

2.       Carrier oil  like coconut or sesame oil

 

Preparation and application:

1.       Mix couple of drops of clove oil with a tsp of coconut oil or sesame oil

2.       Apply the oil where it hurts.

3.       This oil is good for tooth pain.

4.       You can also add clove oil to warm water and gargle.

5.       Apply clove oil mixed with sesame oil for joint pain, soreness, muscle pain

 

Clove oil with peppermint oil: These two combination of oils (in equal amount with career oil like coconut oil) significantly reduces pain. Topical application of the oil mix, followed by proper massaging reduces pain.
