There are hundreds of phobias in the world and severity of phobia varies from person to person.

Phobia is an extreme or irrational fear of something. When a person has phobia, there will be a deep sense of dread or anxiety or panic attack.

The fear can be of anything – place, situation, object, animal, plant etc. The impact of phobia ranges from annoying to disabling. People with phobias often realize about their fear however they might be unable to do anything about it. It can have negative impact on their day to day life.

Next few slides explain few phobias related to food. If a person has phobia related to food what he or she need to understand is that general dislike towards food is not a bad thing but getting scared or afraid of food and taste can cause them harm in negative way.

Some phobias described here are specific and people can survive (example fear of chopsticks) but some like fear of food, vegetables, fruits should be overcome with professional help and loved one’s support.
