What is running? According to Webster dictionary, it is Webster dictionary definition of running: to go steadily by springing steps so that both feet leave the ground for an instant in each step. Jogging is running slowly, and sprinting is running fast.

What happens when we run regularly?  Running is one of the top ten exercises. According to American College of Sports Medicine, vigorous exercise yields plenty of health benefits. Running improves our aerobic fitness by increasing the activity of enzymes and hormones that stimulate the muscles and the heart to work more efficiently. Studies shows that the pounding of weight-bearing activities like walking, jogging and running cause more fat burning than a seated exercise. In fact, research shows that outdoor running burns more calories and fat than in door treadmill running. Our thigh muscles, calves and hip muscles will burn calories , strengthens and shape up in a good way.

How often one need to run to burn fat?  Frequency of training: three to five days per week, Intensity of training: 55/65%-90% of maximum heart rate (HRmax), Duration: Go slow till you get used to running. Intially 10-15 minutes and move to 20 to 30 minutes and increase to 45 min to 60 minutes. One can burn up to 557 calories by running 6 miles in one hour.
