Every year nearly 800,00 people commit suicide worldwide. According to World Health Organization for each suicide there are more than 20 suicide attempts. Anyone could be struggling with suicidal thoughts for various reasons. Suicide is the second leading cause of death after accidents and it is a serious health problem. Whatever might be the reason suicides are preventable if we try.  Every year October 10th is referred as World Mental Health Day and focus is on suicide prevention (WHO). Mental illness is one of the main reasons for suicide. Mental illness is no one’s fault. Helping those who are going through tough times with mental health issues, is responsibility of family, friends and community.
