Medical Assistance Dogs
To assist various types of condition and to assist handlers who are medically disabled MAD (medial assistance Dogs) are trained. They perform specific, mitigating tasks.
Handlers can be varying widely in terms of disability and age. The gear for service dogs based on dog’s job, function and training.
Psychiatric Service Dogs (PSDs)
If a person has severe psychiatric disability such as anxiety attack, depression or PTSD, PSDs are best partners.
Handler might not have any visible disability. Dogs do not need to wear a special gear but are protected under the federal laws like other service dogs.
Emotional support animals (ESA) are also therapy dogs and are helpful all the time. They accompany their human partners everywhere to give emotional support.
