 Introducing to ingredients and nutrients : By participating in cooking kids will understand what goes inside the food. While cooking have your child add ingredients under your supervision. It helps them learn about the nutrients of ingredients and importance of nutrients.

Talk to them about food and your experience. Have them read food labels to understand the word calorie, fat, carbohydrate, protein and servings. Have them taste the food, ask their opinion.

Eventually they will start noticing the importance of foods that you prepare.

Talk to them about food allergy and food poisoning – this will help them to remember what to eat or not to eat at schools or in public.
