Flu season & complications : We often hear people talking about flu, how sick a person is, someone in quarantine or isolated in hospital and fever not going away. This year influenza activity continues to increase everywhere. Commonly known as flu, influenza is one of the most common illness present today. It is caused by influenza virus. Anytime of the year people can get infected by flu virus. Most common seasons are late fall to early spring and peaks between December to March months.

Children and aged elders who have weak immune systems are most susceptible for influenza and might suffer from more serious complication than others. Children younger than 5 years, people 65 years and older, those who have certain chronic medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes, or heart diseases, pregnant women are at higher risk and might develop complications from influenza.
