Many hospitals and health care facilities are looking to adopt ERAS or known as Enhanced recovery after surgery. protocol. It is a multi-modal, multidisciplinary approach to the care of a surgical patient. It involves a team consisting of surgeons, anesthetists and ERAS coordinator and staff from units that care of the patient for speedy recovery. ERAS Society is an international nonprofit professional society that promotes, develops and implements this program.  New research on Enhanced recovery after surgery  is a protocol that accounts for sooner recovery after the surgery. It includes post operative nutrition plans and other alternatives methods to pain medication to helps speedy recover.
