Bananas generally introduced to babies as early as 4 months old. One of the most important nutritional components of bananas is that they contain potassium and fiber. Bananas are also high in Vitamin B6, Vitamin C and Vitamin B2.
Banana is considered as one of the safe food because of its protective skin. To feed baby, remove the outer skin of good organic ripened banana and cut into small pieces. Take a fork or spoon and slowly smash the pieces so that babies are able to eat the banana. Or use a food processor and blend it in one or two runs to smash it.
Caution: Bananas have been associated with Latex allergies and sensitivities so ask your pediatrician about introducing bananas to your baby if there is a history of Latex issues.
