No, these sugars are good but can add calories.
Refined sugar does not contain much of minerals and significant amount of nutrients. If we believe in consuming brown sugar, honey or maple syrup in place of refined sugar in the same amount then these sugar replacements are not going to do good to the body.
They do contain some amount of nutrients and minerals including iron, potassium, calcium. But they also have sugar in different forms.
One should watch sugar intake in terms of calories regardless of its origin.
