There are many chemicals one can come across in food labels. Many of them we have not heard off and we cannot even pronounce names of those chemicals listed. Food safety department of most countries have recognized several such chemicals and listed them as safe.
There are some chemicals that appear on food labels and scientists still have concern about – Tartrazine, Azodicarbonamide, Butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), Propyl gallate, Sodium nitrite, tert-Butylhdroquinone, silicone dioxide, calcium silicate, Triacetin – are few compounds that are recognized safe and can harm our system.
However, there are few other chemicals that many of us consume everyday knowingly or unknowingly in various forms and can be the reason for various health issues. They can enter our body through plastics, cosmetics, foods, drinking water etc.
